Message from the Interim CEOs
We are excited about the success of our summer reading program this year! With 37,237 attendees at 1,973 events, we would like to thank all the Library staff, Friends groups, community sponsors and County officials that help make this year’s program one to remember. Our 2017 Summer @ your Library program reduces the typical summer slide, and students return back to school equipped for another academic year. Our student LINK accounts assure every public school student access to valuable library resources for the school year.

Thermal Cameras & Energy Saving Home Improvements
Environmental literacy is important to maintaining our quality of life at home, school, work or play. The Library offers resources to enhance your home environment. PGCMLS is adding thermal cameras to its circulating collection this October. Our new thermal mobile accessory FLIR ONE for Android or FLIR ONE for iOS adds infrared camera functionality to your mobile device. Learn whether or not heat or cool air is escaping from your home, increasing utility cost.
Adult library customers (one per household) with a valid library card in good standing and photo ID, may place a hold on a thermal camera and have it available for pick up from any PGCMLS branch. The borrowing period is for 7 days, after which fees apply.
Are you looking to make your home more energy efficient? Check out the Library’s digital resource: EBSCO's Home Improvement Reference Center. This database is designed to help homeowners in do-it-yourself home repair, maintenance and remodeling projects.
