Capture the Flag Hackathon Third Place Winners: Laurel Library UMUC Team-1

Laurel, MD – The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System sponsored its first annual Capture the Flag Hackathon in conjunction with MAGIC’s Fourth Capture the Flag, Cybersecurity Competition at our Laurel and South Bowie branches. Congratulations to Laurel Branch Library’s UMUC Team-1 which placed third in this 150-registrant, student competition in five Maryland locations.

Winning Laurel Branch team members are Leonid Burlachuk, Paul Chilcote, Jared Perdue and Andrew Valliere. UMUC Team-1 discovered the clues, solved all the puzzles – even with technical difficulties that slowed them down – and beat the clock! Join us next year for the fun. This Hackathon was supported by its originators at MAGIC, the Mid-Atlantic Gigabit Innovation Collaboratory.
