Our Laurel Branch is also known for its  “green" features: solar energy, storm water management, charging stations for electric vehicles, living plant wall, recycling, green cleaning supplies, filtered water and energy efficient lighting. Winter Reading Challenge 2018

The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System in collaboration with almost 100 libraries in the United States and South Korea have taken on Mark Cuban’s challenge of reading at least one million minutes and 50,000 books in January 2018.

If the goal is met during Beanstack’s

Winter Reading Challenge, Cuban will donate $25,000 to First Book and $10,000

to top performing libraries and their communities. (Photo: Courtesy of Zoobean) More
