The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) is excited about the upcoming launch of Library2Go: Career Connector. PGCMLS received a $2.2 Million grant for workforce development from the U.S. Department of Labor, under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  The grant funds the Library2Go: Career Connector mobile library.  

We will be using this mobile library to provide job readiness resources and career search support to the Prince George’s County community. Our customers will be able to access Library2Go: Career Connector all over Prince George’s County, at community events, public schools, and right in their neighborhood! With Library2Go: Career Connector, PGCMLS plans to bring library services and collection materials directly to those individuals who are interested in expert career help and job-related services and those who are in need of free access to the internet.

No, you do not need a PGCMLS library card to use our career services on the Library2Go: Career Connector.

With your PGCMLS library card you can access some of our online workforce tools like Brainfuse and LinkedIn Learning that do have that requirement. To borrow PGCMLS materials from our Library2Go branch curated print and digital collection, those will also require a library card account.

Getting a library card is an easy process that our team can assist you with! We can help you register for a new library card or review your current account to ensure it is active.

The Library2Go: Career Connector mobile library features a wheelchair ramp lift to transport a guest inside of the vehicle.

Yes! We are currently taking event requests for the 2026 calendar year. Community centers, local governments, and other organizations can request a visit from the Library2Go: Career Connector to attend their events using our request form. We will respond to requests starting in late January 2026.

Books can be borrowed for 3 weeks with 3 week renewals allowed. Physical items can be returned to the Library2Go mobile library or at any library branch. Loans from digital platforms, like Libby, are returned automatically.

    The total cost of the Library2Go: Career Connector program is $2,200,000. $2,200,000 (100%) is funded through a U.S. Department of Labor – Employment and Training Administration grant.
