Borrowing a Camera
  • Place a hold through the library catalog
  • Adults ages 18 and older with library cards in good standing.
  • No LINK or Student Accounts.
  • One per household.
  • Customers must present their library card and a valid (not expired) photo ID to the circulation staff. Once checked out to the customer, it becomes the responsibility of the customer.
  • Customers must wait 24 hours before borrowing the same device.
  • Separate devices for IOS(Apple) and Android Phones.
  • Android devices come with a USB adapter for older phone models.
Picking up your camera Thermal cameras will be delivered to the patron’s chosen library location. The patron can retrieve their hold at the circulation desk.
Lending Period
  • One week (7 days)
  • No renewals
  • Customer must sign lending agreement
  • An overdue fee of $1.00 per day up to full replacement cost of $250.00 will be charged for a Thermal Imaging Camera that is not returned
  • Damaged devices or parts will be charged at the cost of the part:
    • Damaged Case: $25.00
  • Device must be returned to the borrowing location.
  • Device cannot be returned in the bookdrop.

Device Housing Devices will be housed at Laurel, Hyattsville, Greenbelt, and Oxon Hill but can be borrowed from any location with a hold.
