This two-day training is presented by ecoLatinos and will be held on October 5th at Hyattsville Library and October 19th at Bladensburg Library. Participants will gain essential skills in stormwater mitigation, including rain gardens, rain barrels, and tree plantings.
Delivered entirely in Spanish, the program empowers Latino landscapers in the D.C./MD/VA region and welcomes other fluent Spanish speakers from underrepresented communities.
Participants will take part in more than 16 hours of classroom and hands-on training over two Saturdays in October. After the training, they will help with project installations in November. To finish the program, participants need to complete a short evaluation. Once they meet all the requirements, they will receive a Proof of Completion and a $750 stipend.
This is a great chance to improve skills and support sustainable landscaping in the community!

Esta capacitación de dos días de ecoLatinos se llevará a cabo el 5 de octubre en la Biblioteca de Hyattsville y el 19 de octubre en la Biblioteca de Bladensburg. Los participantes adquirirán habilidades esenciales en mitigación de aguas pluviales, incluyendo jardines de lluvia, barriles de lluvia y plantación de árboles.
