The Frederick County Public Library is pleased to announce that the highly acclaimed, bestselling author, Wes Moore will participate in a virtual program for our annual Frederick Reads event. This program is a collaborative effort between FCPL, Frederick Community College, and the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
Moore's latest work, Five Days: The Fiery Reckoning of an American City, is a kaleidoscopic account of five days in the life of a city on the edge, told through eight characters on the frontlines of the protests that overtook Baltimore after the death of Freddie Gray.
Moore’s free talk will also highlight his earlier New York Times Bestseller, The Other Wes Moore, a memoir chronicling the lives of two kids named Wes Moore who both grew up fatherless in similar Baltimore neighborhoods.
Sponsors for this event are: The C. Burr Artz Trust, Ausherman Family Foundation, Frederick Arts Council, Delaplaine Foundation, Curious Iguana, and Plamondon Hospitality.
