Joing the PGCMLS Foundation Board

Term of Office Four Years
Authority

Board members, when acting with a majority vote, have the authority to:

  • Elect Board officers;
  • Elect other prospects to the Foundation Board;
  • Approve the annual Foundation Budget;
  • Approve expenditures not budgeted or items whose cost exceed 110%
  • of a budget category;
  • Each board member, or the board as a whole, has no authority to direct
  • staff or take independent action on matters outside of the duties
  • outlined.
Responsibilities/Duties A Board Member’s responsibilities/duties are as follows:
  • Attend and actively participate in all Board Meetings;
  • Belong to, attend, and be actively engaged in at least one standing board committee (Finance, Outreach, Legislative, Nominating)
  • Comply with Board’s Give/Get policy by donating ≥$200 of their personal funds and successfully soliciting ≥$1000 in additional donations
  • Abide by all establish Board policies and procedures
  • Ensures the integrity and effectiveness of the board’s governance role and
  • Performs all the duties which are ordinarily the function of the office of board member
