Largo, MD - Children in Prince George's County will be able to participate in different initiatives as part of the Prince George's County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) Back to School events. “One of our core values is collaboration, so we are thrilled to partner with these community organizations and help bring basic school necessities to families in need. The library is all about learning; we want to give children the tools they will need to be successful, and starting this weekend, the PGCMLS Health and Wellness work team and other staff will be part of the giveaway events." said Michael Gannon, Acting Co-Chief Executive Officer.
The different events will occur starting this weekend on a first-come, first serve basis while supplies last. A parent or guardian must accompany the children.
Here is a list of the Back to School Events:
PGCMLS works with Dare 2B Different Mentoring, Grind Hard Dream Big, Soul of The War, and Solid Clothing for the backpacks and school supplies event. Children K-12 grades will also enjoy refreshments, bottles of water, and snacks during the outdoor event.
