Books by Mail

Books by Mail is a free service for Prince George’s county residents, in which materials are mailed directly to customers who can no longer access the branches due to visual impairment or physical disabilities.

Who is eligible for Books by Mail?

Books By Mail service is reserved for those in our community with disabilities and/or are homebound.

How does Books By Mail work?

Materials can be requested through the library’s online catalog or by phone.  Materials are mailed in a postage paid library mailing bag.  When materials are ready to return, place the items back in the mailing bag, turn the label over and give it to the mail carrier. The return postage is already affixed.  If necessary, library mailing bags can be scheduled for collection with USPS. Please note that certain material may be ineligible to deliver by mail.
