In light of the unfortunate prevalence of shootings in the US, this program is dedicated to equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in the event of an active shooter situation. Explore strategies, protocols, and survival techniques to enhance personal safety and preparedness in critical scenarios.
Todd Rosenthal currently serves as SAIC's Security Awareness Training and Education Program lead. He is a seasoned briefer on critical violent incident response and has received recognition and awards for his active shooter emergency preparedness work. He has also developed critically acclaimed training and briefings on social engineering, open-source intelligence, insider threat, counterintelligence awareness, and the protection of the digital footprint. In 2020, Todd's efforts in establishing and maintaining an industrial security program received the prestigious Cogswell Award from the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA).
Having started his security career in 2004 with the United States Secret Service, Rosenthal also studied under the famed Dr. Mark Frank, the nation’s foremost non-verbal communications and micro-expressions expert focused on the detection of aggression and deceit. Rosenthal then earned a double master's degree in Communications and has worked with numerous three-letter agencies, and some of the nation’s largest government contractors.
Rosenthal has provided training and guidance to federal agencies, the intelligence community, all of the military branches, and private establishments and organizations, including non-profits. He is an active member of NCMS: The Society for Industrial Security Professionals and serves as a Chairperson for The Industrial Security Awareness Council of Central Maryland (ISAC-MD).
