Bear Afkhami has fifteen years of experience in the homeland security field, including prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery work. Bear has a BA in Intelligence and an MS in Analytics. He combines his degree in intelligence and interest in international relations to write and lecture on the impact of foreign policy, foreign/domestic extremist organizations and use of intelligence. He has written articles for numerous public safety publications and speaks at homeland security and emergency management conferences. Since 2020, Bear has given foreign policy lectures for the Prince George’s County Library System, including talks on The Impact of COVID-19 on Global Foreign Policy, Russia, China, World Order and other topics.
