Passport Acceptance Event

In collaboration with the Office of U.S. Senator Angela D. Alsobrooks and Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, the U.S. Department of State will accept passport applications at Greenbelt Branch Library. This special event is by appointment only.

Event Details

• Appointment only; no walk-ins accepted
• Accepting Form DS-11 and Form DS-82

Processing Information

• Processing times: 4–6 weeks (routine), 2–3 weeks (expedited)
• Expedited service requires an additional $60 fee

Mailing Information

• Passports will be mailed free of charge via USPS Priority Mail or First-Class Mail, depending on application type
• Passport cards will be mailed via First-Class Mail only
• Optional express shipping available for an additional $22.05 fee

Required Documents & Payment

• Photocopies of all original birth certificates, parents’ IDs, and the student’s ID must be submitted with the application
• All passport fees must be submitted with the application
• Accepted payment methods: card payments and cashier’s checks

Photo Requirements

• Photos must be 2” x 2”, in color, and taken against a plain background
• Photos will not be taken on site
