Computing Workshop

Join the University of Maryland Computing Catalyst for a hands-on introduction to computer science! Led by undergraduate student volunteers from the University of Maryland, College Park, this interactive workshop will introduce students in grades 4–8 to core computing concepts through engaging activities.

Participants will explore binary code and secret ciphers, program micro-bits, and build and code LEGO Mindstorms robots while developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills. No prior coding experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to create!

Space is limited to 15 participants and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration allows you to receive program updates and reminders; however, it does not guarantee participation.
