Community Health Worker in the Library

Free Grocery Distribution - Spauldings Branch Library

Public health workers will be available in the Library to answer questions about community health resources and services and provide free groceries, KN95 masks, and COVID-19 rapid test kits while supplies last; on-site clinical services will not be available.

This joint effort with the Prince George’s County Health Department provides residents in communities throughout the county with an opportunity to take a preventative health assessment and receive free groceries. Grocery distributions will take place indoors in May and June. Up to 100 grocery bags will be available each week at each location. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Face masks are required for all visitors in PGCMLS buildings (ages 2 and up).

Participating PGCMLS branch libraries are Hyattsville, Spauldings, and Upper Marlboro.

La biblioteca y el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Prince George invitan a los residentes a realizar una evaluación de salud preventiva y recibir una bolsa de comestibles gratis. Los trabajadores de salud pública estarán disponibles durante los eventos de distribución para responder preguntas sobre los recursos y servicios de salud de la comunidad. Habrá hasta 100 bolsas de comestibles disponibles cada semana en cada ubicación y serán distribuidas por orden de llegada. Los visitantes deben tener una máscara o cubre bocas mientras se encuentren dentro de los edificios de PGCMLS (esto aplica para personas a partir de 2 años en adelante).
