Dear Prince Georgians,
With confirmed cases of monkeypox continuing to rise in the United States and in Maryland, we are working to ensure that our residents receive the most up-to-date information and have access to appropriate services and resources. In response to this recent global outbreak, our County Health Department is hosting a Monkeypox Virtual Townhall on Wednesday, August 10, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
This virtual townhall discussion will feature a panel of our top health experts who will provide important information about monkeypox including prevention, testing, treatment, and vaccination. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers from our health experts.
We are strongly encouraging all Prince Georgians to tune in to this important discussion to learn more about monkeypox. To register for the virtual townhall discussion, click here. To learn more about monkeypox symptoms, prevention, and vaccination eligibility and appointments, visit our Health Department’s monkeypox webpage here.
Yours in service,
Prince George’s County Executive
