Students are expected to know how to play the following chords: C, D, Dm, E, Em, F, G, A, and Am. This class will focus on picking and strumming techniques used in playing blues guitar. The instructor will provide instruction in the use of these chords to play several blues songs. The class will also cover the blues form and its impact on the music of today.
Please bring a guitar. Up to eight students may request to use a guitar during class if they do not have one. Priority may be given to individuals who have attended previous classes.
