Enjoy a walking tour along Fairmount Heights' Historic African American Signage Trail. In the Juneteenth spirit of freedom and celebration, we’ll share our family stories and those of notable Fairmount Heights individuals, who built the town as one of this area's first planned African American communities. Enjoy refreshments after the walk.
The library is located at 5904 Kolb Street in Fairmount Heights, MD 20743, along Addison Road and two blocks south of Sheriff Road. Parking is available in the library lot.
The walk will start outside the library branch and will end with a fellowship reception at the historic Sylvan Vista Baptist Church at 1101 60th Avenue.
