New to using computers? This class for adults will introduce you to some basic computer terminology and lead you through practice activities to help you develop your digital literacy skills. Four-week series every Wednesday evening from 5 pm - 7 pm.
Week 1: July 12th - Hardware & Mouse Skills
Week 2: July 19th - Software & Keyboard Practice
Week 3: July 26th - File Management
Week 4: August 2nd - Internet & Email
After the 4 week course, participants will be able to:
- Identify basic computer components and operating system features
- Execute basic mouse techniques
- Perform basic keyboard strokes and functions
- Identify and navigate the features of the Desktop
- Open and exit software programs
- Identify and navigate the various toolbars of the Windows environment
- Create and save a document to the Desktop or to a flash drive (please bring your own flash
drive)
