About Jesse Andrews

Jesse Andrews is a New York Times best-selling novelist and award-winning screenwriter. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and he graduated from Schenley High School and Harvard University.

His books are: "Munmun" (Amulet Books, 2018),  "The Haters" (Amulet Books, 2016), "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" (Amulet Books, 2012), which won the Cybils Award for Young Adult Fiction when it was published in 2012.

His screenwriting work includes: Luca (Pixar, 2021, dir. Enrico Casarosa and cowritten with Mike Jones), Every Day (MGM, 2018, dir. Michael Sucsy, adapted from the novel by David Levithan), Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (Indian Paintbrush and Fox Searchlight, 2015, dir. Alfonso  Gomez-Rejon, adapted from the novel by me). It won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
