Digital Suite


With the Digital Suite, you get instant access to eBooks, audiobooks, digital comics, videos, and music. A library card is required.

With over 3,000 titles to choose from in English and Spanish, OverDrive offers thousands of downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines, all free with a library card. There is a limit of 10 items per customer, checked out at any time. Magazines do not count against your checkout limit.

Gain access to the Maryland Deaf Culture Digital Library through OverDrive. Maintained by the Montgomery County Public Library, this collection consists of deaf-related eBooks and audiobooks from OverDrive. Customers can access the content with a library card.


Enjoy unlimited access to thousands of digital graphic novels and comics. Browse by genre, publisher, or title. Checkouts are for seven days with unlimited renewals.


Stream over 26,000 movies, documentaries, indie and foreign films from hundreds of producers including The Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, Kino Lorber, and PBS. There is a limit of 10 videos per month.


Stream or temporarily download popular movies, television shows, and music on your mobile divide or computer. There is a limit of six (6) per month.

To use these resources, you will need your 14-digit library card number and PIN. Some of our online resources also require a valid email address. Virtual cards do not work with Libby, Kanopy, or Hoopla. 

For most of the resources in the PGCMLS Digital Suite, you will have to create an account. Use these step-by-step instructions for help with creating accounts:

OverDrive and Freegal do not require you to create an account. For OverDrive, simply log in using your library card number. For Freegal, log in using your library card number and PIN/password.

In most cases, your PIN is the last four digits of the phone number we have on file for you. If you’re having trouble, contact us with your library card number and we can reset it for you.

Prince George's County residents can access most of the Library’s digital services (with the exception of Hoopla and Kanopy), place holds on materials and reserve meeting rooms all without visiting a branch library. These Virtual Library Cards expire in three years. Non-Prince George's County residents may also apply for a virtual card that will expire after six months and offer limited benefits. Virtual Cards cannot access Libby, Kanopy, or Hoopla. In addition to online access, you may visit any PGCMLS branch library to upgrade to a physical Library Card. (Photo ID is required.)

Yes, students of Prince George’s County Public Schools can borrow up to three items with their LINK accounts. LINK offers access to library services using their 9-digit ID Number with PGCPS in front, no sign-up needed!

  • Ex. PGCPS100100100
  • The last four digits of their number is the PIN. (Ex. 0100) 

If you’re having trouble logging in or receiving an error message when you enter your card number, try the following:

  • Make sure you’ve entered the full 16-digit card number with no spaces.
  • Make sure you’ve entered your PIN/password. In most cases, your PIN is the last four digits of the phone number we have on file for you.
  • If you’re getting a message that says you already have an account, click “Forgot my Password” to send a login link to your email address.

If you’re still having trouble, contact us with your library card number and a current email address.
