Experience the heart of Native American and Indigenous People's Month through this tailored children's program. Children will delve into history, resilience, and the future, immersing themselves in the art of drumming, dance, and storytelling. They'll actively pay homage to important milestones, embrace strength, and help shape the road ahead.

With an interactive blend of rhythm, movement, and stories, kids will contribute to molding our shared journey toward unity and empowerment.

John Scott-Richardson’s maternal and paternal lineage is (Tutelo Saponi, Nansemond, Tuscarora) an enrolled member of the Haliwa-Saponi Nation of North Carolina. He received his BA in Liberal Arts degree in Psychology, and Art from Atlantic Christian College. John began his performing arts efforts by writing/directing youth advocacy plays while working at NC Commission of Indian Affairs. John has a strong passion for storytelling and sharing the narrative of native people. He is a founding member of Images for Inclusion and is a board member of Amerinda Inc. John is a film, television, and theater actor writer and director. He has supported recent projects; The Reunion NYC (Amazon Prime), The Heart Stays and The Politician (Netflix) and Between Two Knees play (regional theater). He is a cultural educator, working with Lotus Music and Dance, 7 Directions Media and Raven Wing Productions as an artist and performer. He has presented for World Wild Life Fund, Ford Foundation, and Good Shepherd Services. John’s passion is working with the youth and helping to support the growth of the youth.
